Review summary

I would say that Royal has taken a serious step back in service. Over the last 12 months we have been on 3 cruises. Each a step down from the one before. This one was the final straw. We will be looking elsewhere. Its sad. They were rpeviously the class of the Caribbean. Now they are below average.

Overall the staff struggled to maintain inventory on the ship of certain items and that included items for the pre purchased drinks packages.

Overall, the staff struggled to service rooms and provide overall care to the ship. Restocking of food items in the buffet and quality of service in the main dining were well below average. This will be my last cruise for some time

Ship Quality

Design awesome. Cleanliness, no good. We requested our balcony divider be fixed multiple times to no avail. It swung open, fully, the entire cruise. Allowing the suite guests beside us to walk onto our balcony. Over and over again.

Cabin / Stateroom

Blacony divider was broken and the attendants and maintenance refused to fix throughout the entire cruise.

Ship tip

Don't sail with RC until they get their crap together. Freestyle machines broken. No service for soda package for kids at multiple locations. The dog house only serves alcohol now. The intentional things to create a hassle for kids to get drinks or us to get access to package things was not worth it. Carnival does a better job. now. And that is sad.

The quality of goods at the shopping area needs reviewed. I love what they have but we stopped purchasing long ago. $2 shirt costs 40. And it lasts 2 washes.

I agree with you..I sailed Sept 18-25th 2022 and can honestly say it was my worst Royal cruise to date. This was my 27th cruise this year with Royal.

Just like every other business, they struggle to get people to return to work. Lots of global supply chain problems that cannot be helped.

We have seen a decline in service, but we thought it could be due to being near max capacity due to the number of kids on the cruise. We are hoping cruising out of Florida in the off season will help with this issue. I think the staff is trying hard, they may be understaffed for the number of guest.
