Overall a good cruise but we have experienced better with them many times before, it was our previous experiences that made us loyal to their brand. We badly want The Quest game show to return! The consistency and quality of the food is simply not the same as it was pre covid. This was our seventh cruise with Royal Caribbean since ships returned from the covid pause, not being rude just being honest here, not sure how many more passes is deserved for “covid” related issues.
Embarkation

We showed up to check in but after scanning our set sail passes we was told “your already checked in”. This created confusion we nor port staff expected for sure.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
We have been loyal to Royal Caribbean for a lot of cruises, the food is simply not what it used to be. Windjammer served basically the same food day to day, the service was fair at best, and it’s mind boggling they have this massive venue however keep the majority of it closed down and direct everyone trying to eat to one section of it. The main dinning room food was hit or miss, excellent one night and fair the next. The service in the main dinning was as always fantastic. Room service was rather poor, food always arrived cold and didn’t taste good. Johnny Rockets was amazing! Park cafe was rather good.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
It’s nice being on ships with most activities being offered again
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We enjoyed all of the shows with the exception of the Aqua show. We’ve been on several Oasis class ships (most multiple times) and they all put on one heck of a show with a lot of diving, not the case for our cruise on the Harmony. It was mostly a cast of people stomping in place with very little diving.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Most all staff was very polite, energetic, and obviously dedicated to their job. We did
not experience the best of staff in the Diamond Lounge. Room steward was amazing! Waiters in main dinning was very attentive! Staff in Windjammer was hit and miss depending on the day.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Oasis class ships are amazing and well designed for a ship of this size. Ship was clean and maintenance appeared to be top notch.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Typical ocean view balcony, nothing special but lacks nothing. Cabin was very clean! The bed was absolutely horrible. The couch was much more comfortable for sleeping.
Ship tip
Make your reservations for shows and dinner EARLY! My time dinning doesn’t mean “eat on my time”. We have never had a problem with my time on any other ships however not the case on Harmony of the Seas. We was told “my time” dinning for us would be 8:45 nightly due to not having made our reservations online prior to the cruise, this is not MY TIME dinning! We have never experienced this before with Royal Caribbean.
Only ship in port resulting in no crowds at all! We have been to St Maarten many times and this was by far the best time we’ve ever had here. We was able to see places we’ve never seen before due to crowds during the previous visits.
Generally a nice stop. We took a panoramic drive excursion and it did provide nice views of the island. Our driver smashing into another truck made the experience exciting! No one was hurt so this genuinely was the highlight, if it wasn’t for this mishap the tour itself was kinda dull.
I was just on Harmony and I agree with this post. Everything was amazing but the food. We chose to pay for Johnny rockets a couple nights because the food in windjammer was not good at all and it was same thing every day!!! Nothing like food used to be!
Appreciate your feedback. Sorry the food wasn’t up to the RCCL standards you’ve come to expect. Sadly, it seems to be a theme across the industry. Glad the rest of the cruise was everything you expected from Royal.
