Review summary

The ship itself was beautiful. We enjoyed all the different venues and activities. We were less impressed with the food and found it did not compare to previous experiences on RCCL. As noted before, I found they were not upholding to the health protocols they outlined in their pre-boarding notices, especially since there was a new variant spreading. I sailed on another line in November 2021 and felt things were much cleaner and protocols adhered to, despite not requiring mask at that time

Embarkation

5 out of 5
speedy and efficient embarkation process..everything was well organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
having sailed previously on same class ship, was surprised to find that the quality level of food had declined..the buffet food was fair to good depending on items served..had a very poor duck entree in dining room one evening as meat was overcooked, tough and stringy..in conversation with other passengers, we found this to be most diners experience

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
slides were fun..trivia was great as always..solarium was lovely

Entertainment

5 out of 5
the ice show, comedy show and main headliner show were all terrific. Very talented people

Children's Programs

did not travel with children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
our cabin steward was very attentive and cheerful and welcoming. Our dining room waiter and assistant waiter were outstanding. Cheerful, friendly and very accommodating with assistance with dietary restraints

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
health protocols were a bit lax at times. found empty soap dispensers in restrooms despite reminders to wash hands frequently. also, were not cleaned often as there were full trashcans and pieces of paper towels on floors. noted that bar tops and tables were not always cleaned between patrons. elevator rails and buttons not noted to be cleaned as frequently as one would expect during these times. mask mandates in enclosed areas were lax and noted to observe unmasked passengers coughing or sneezing

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
room was spotless and maintained throughout voyage. was bigger than we expected with a nice size sitting area .. bed was very comfortable

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

live in Florida. have been to KSC. only went to port for ship

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
did not do an excursion as we have been there many times. that being said, we did get off the ship to walk around and found things dirty and uninviting.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
have been there on may cruise. this port area was different than previous visits and was not very clean and people were a little pushy and indifferent

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
my husband went to the island and said he really enjoyed it..due to limited capacity on ship, he said he frequently had a small pool or hot tub to himself

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
we opted for self assist debarkation and it was quick and easy. no lines or waiting for your number to be called. just walked off the ship and breezed through customs.
