Review summary

We had a great time on the Harmony. I think my expectations were too high. They did a great job with cleanliness, and people were wearing masks most of the time when they were inside. Our kids loved the slides and flow rider. We just enjoyed sitting g on the deck in the warm weather.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Lines were long, but moved pretty fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food overall was pretty good. Never had anything over the top great, but never had a bad meal either.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Activities are similar to carnival. Trivia and games. It was disappointing they had to cancel Grease due to a covid outbreak in the cast. The 1887 show and a juggler show we attended were OK.

Entertainment

3 out of 5

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward and servers in the restaurants were excellent.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship seemed very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We were in an inside balcony. Room was ok, but the layout wasn't great. There were 2 adults and 2 kids in our room, and when the trundle was out, you had a hard time getting to the balcony. I prefer carinval where we have always had a set of bunk beds which worked out much better for us.

Ship tip

This was my first Royal Caribbean cruise. And even though I gave it 3 stars, we did have a great time. This is really based on a few factors. First the itinerary changed. And I completely understand why (due to instability in Haiti). However when I called and asked if they were offering any perks due to the change, the short answer was no. All I really wanted was a couple of free drinks. Also I have cruised on Carnival multiple times and everyone said RC is so much better. I disagree. Food, entertainment, and service was all comparable, and carnival may be a little better in my opinion. So for the extra cost, next time I will stick with Carnival

Ports of call

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
This was a highlight for us. Roatan is beautiful. We found a taxi when we got into port. We went ziplining and spend the rest of the day at the west end beaches. We definitely want to go back to Roatan.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Coco Cay is incredible. Such a beautiful place. At the beginning of the week we said we would go back to Carnival, but after visiting Coco Cay, we may have to do another trip on RC. We did the thrill Waterpark and had so much fun on the water slides.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
I'm just not a fan of Mexico. Pushy vendors. The water is not clear like so many other ports.

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were off the boat in 5 minutes

Thanks for ur review! And a tip: on your next cruise with RCCL, check for the cabins with the pullman sign on deck plan. They are similar to bunk beds, and works pretty great! #HappyCruising

Agree 100%. We are almost platinum on Carnival. Just got off the Mardi Gras. Sailed on the Symphony last October. Carnivals guest services is over the top. Royal, to your point, not so much.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I found similar issues awhile back. Sticking with ccl related ships.
