Review summary

My vacation couldn’t have been better. The captain navigated rough seas so we had smooth sailing. Loved sea days. Would have preferred original itinerary to have a sea day between two excursion days. That was weather related, however. All staff was amazing. There was always something to do. Enjoyed everything except finding a table for breakfast in the buffet most mornings. Johnnie Rockets for breakfast was great. Wish it served a little later. Specialty dining was fantastic!

Someone was there to greet us as soon as we arrived, and before we knew it we were on the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I loved the specialty restaurants. The main dining room was a little disappointing because we signed up for anytime dining. Anytime dining isn't on your own time, unless you never want a meal before 6:45p. There were days 5p would have been ideal, and other days dining at 8p was good. You also don't get the same wait staff. I did not enjoy the buffet. The two main reasons were- 1) we were a party of six and had to walk around the entire buffet at least three times to find a table. Furthermore, there was more than one section, but on the first am I didn't realize that some sections had foods others did not. The staff was very accomodating.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We participated in a slide, the pools, the hot tub, enjoyed the music while at the pool. I also participated in a wine tasting that was fun, although we could not understand the host. He was from India. I also went to a talk on Thomas Kincaid and thoroughly enjoyed that.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw Columbus, 1887, and Grease. All three were enjoyable. 1887 and Grease were fantastic. I enjoyed the music on the fifth floor where there was dancing and just an overall good time. I also went to the Michael Jackson Tribute and found that to be a lot of fun!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The Kids Clubs were our saving grace so we could have adult time as a family. I understood the 12-2p break for the staff, but it made it hard. Also

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Francisco, was amazing. On embarkation day, my suitcase never arrived. It was finally found with his assistance on deck 9. The tag had gotten torn off. All wait staff met our needs.

Ship Quality

Perfection

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Perfect for two people. More closet and cabinet space than I ever expected. Would have liked a plug on the nightstand closest to the balcony

Ship tip

Do it!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

No excursión. Not a pretty place. Very efficient.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Went to Front and Back St. Went to the beach. Pricey to sit on a lounge chair, but bathroom and food/bar were adjacent. Great entertainment.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
I paid to have a cab driver show me around. I also took an Uber to San Juan to go to Hard Rock. Food was good. Drink was amazing. Did get 6 mosquito bites. Bring spray!

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We were rerouted to a private beach in Labidee, Haiti due to weather. Ocean was calm. Great lunch. Service excellent but after we were assisted to get a chair on the sand, the attendant stayed until he was tipped. Water was calm enough for little ones to swim

Disembarkation

So very easy!! Got off promptly with bags easy to find and immigration easy to navigate
