Review summary

All in all we had a LOVELY time! The ship is beautiful and well appointed. The staff were always happy and very attentive. The food was very good and service in the dining rooms was quite good. Not as formal as it used to be in prior years, but still nice enough. The solarium was AMAZING! We were always out there relaxing in the serenity and quiet adult only area. Excursions were fabulous. We purchased the spa package to use the thermal suites and enjoyed them daily for a deeply tranquil meditative time. Onboarding and offboarding were very efficient and smooth. Our cabin was gorgeous! OK now the Negatives: We had issues with the app never working properly, so we could not reserve shows, etc. Then there was a billing issue that never should have happened as I loaded my credit card to my Royal Caribbean account before sailing. I also was randomly reserved on an excursion that I never reserved myself for and was charged. Luckily the excursions desk was able to refund the charge. The elevators were a complete disaster. We would wait forever for an elevator only to find it was full to capacity when one finally arrived. They really should have planned for more elevators, twice as many I would say for such a large ship with such large passenger capacity. I also felt there were FAR too many children on the ship, it negatively impacted our experience in almost every way. Children were up before 7am out on the guest room ocean facing decks yelling and dragging the chairs around outside, so we were usually awakened far earlier than we would have liked. Then at dinner or out in public areas, children were screaming or crying and parents usually did nothing to control them. It was a lovely cruise to be sure, but far from perfect.

We greatly enjoyed the spa thermal suites which we paid to use several times throughout the week. The Solarium adult only area was a lifesaver, we spent so much time here!!! The running track was a much needed exercise outlet for us each day.

I did the ocean kayaking excursion and it was amazing!!! Only negative here was the tour guide takes everyone to a non-royal caribbean beach where locals were selling items. There was a bit more pressure to go ashore than I would have liked. I did not go ashore to purchase anything.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We booked an independent excusion at the Hyatt Zilara, which was an adult only all inclusive resort for the day. Transportation to and from was provided. It was beautiful and I would highly recommend it!!!

Eh, its basically like visiting walmart for shopping. Got right back on board and spent the day on the ship in the quiet while everyone else was ashore.

Love kids, but parents need to parent...were all on vacation and need to respect others.

Far too many children... Lol... Are they suppose to limit them? Or adults need to recognize that RCCL is not responsible for the behavior of their kids. My kids are on every cruise I'm on but I also keep them near by.

I agree about the elevators! It was AWFUL! My mom has mobility issues so anytime she was with us we had no choice but to wait...and wait...and wait. One time our elevator opened and there were two scooters waiting to board. One lady actually said to the other, oh just go ahead they'll move. What?!?? We're on an elevator lady! Where are we supposed to move to exactly?? Ugghh! I feel like I spent more time waiting in line for an elevator than anything else at all.
