Great ship but extremely large. Lots for children to enjoy.

Review summary

The ship was amazing, although we would probably look for a smaller ship for our next cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had Priority Check In from our travel agent which made things very easy.

Ship experiences

The main dining rooms were beautiful and the food was mostly great.

5 out of 5
We liked the outdoor walking/running track that went around the ship.

5 out of 5
All of the shows were excellent and very professional. We loved them all.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This is a pretty new ship and it was very well maintained. Very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This was our first cabin which was under the BASKETBALL COURT which was open from 8 am-11 pm. It was so noisy. On the second night my husband went up to the 15th deck to see if all the noise was coming from just the basketball court. He said there were about 70 people playing on that court. After 2 nights in that cabin we were able to change to another cabin on a lower deck. The balcony room we had was very nice, plenty of storage. We actually did not mind that we were looking across the Boardwalk (which is a very noisy area to stay in as there is an outdoor theater below) at other balconies.

Ship tip

Johnny Rockets serves breakfast at no additional charge. There is a charge for lunch and dinner. Not many people knew this so it was easy to get in to eat.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
It as very desolate on the Dutch side. They still have a lot of damage from the last hurricane and it didn't look like anyone was doing anything to fix the homes. Many were without roofs. The French side seemed to be better off. Roofs were being replace on what looked to be expensive homes. The beach was lovely. The restaurants on the beach were very expensive.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We visited one of the old forts within walking distance of the ship. It was very interesting. Our ship was there only until 1:30 in the afternoon, so we could not do too much sightseeing. Kind of disappointing. I liked this port the best.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

2 out of 5
It was very nice and we would have enjoyed it, but all the beach chairs were being "saved". All of them had a towel or shoes on them, so we had to return to the ship for the day.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized
