Review summary

The cruise met my expectations but this was not the type of ship I would book if I was not traveling with my grandchildren. The pools were really small and always filled so I never went in a pool, it was off-putting how many people were in there. The jacuzzis were packed as well but I managed to get in later at night when the crowds dwindled. They were only warm, not hot like they should be. It bothered me that only apple juice was offered at breakfast (besides coffee). There was not a lot of variety in the food, it was the same every day.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was OK but not enough variety. I wish there were more beverage options at breakfast besides coffee and apple juice.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Pools were so crowded I never went in. Fitness center classes were all booked so I did not participate.

Entertainment

We love cruising and we never get in the pools anyway because I have set there and watch all the people in the pool and drinking and have not seen them get out to go to the bathroom, so I stay out πŸ˜³πŸ˜–πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Ship has more than 1 pool. Has 2 huge hot tubes hanging over water and numerous tnbs elsewhere. Solarium also has hot tubes. Did u even walk around the ship. This is my 6th mega ship and have always been able to find a place to go. If you go on a sea day in the middle of the day then it is probably pretty packed.

You can also get hot chocolate & hot tea for breakfast.

I find it hard to believe that the only choices at breakfast for beverages were coffee and apple juice. I’ve sailed the Harmony and they had plenty of things to choose from. It sounds to me you just aren’t suited to larger vessels. Which is fine, but no need to complain about petty things over it. You should have done your research first before booking the cruise.

My in-laws cruised that ship type and was not impressed with it or food in main dining and do not plan to repeat it. (They have been on well over a dozen cruises too). Bigger is not always better. You do no need to cruise ship to see by deck plans that it has far to little pool and hot tub space for amount of people it carries. The outdoor mall eliminates a lot of deck space on pool deck that could of supported bigger pools and more hot tubs.
