Review summary

There were 4 in our group who all had the same options. It may appear to some that I have been negative but we did enjoy the whole cruise. The food choices, windjammer buffet, was the letdown. Pool warning: don’t put towels down and go for breakfast, the pool police put stickers on chairs if you are gone for 30mins or more. It was entertaining watching people argue

Embarkation

The wait to embark was delayed because the ships previous cruise had a gastro virus. Once we were told that we could board after 12pm it took about an hour or so to get onboard

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
We did not buy the specialty dining package but ate in Chops and the Mexican Restuarant, Sabor. Chops took at least 3 hours for the meal to be completed, others came and went whilst we waited for food. The food itself was great but the service somewhat different. Sabor was fantastic. Now to the main reason why I gave a low market, everything is up sell. After 9pm, you can have pizza or left over buffet food sandwiched and package as fresh food. The choice without paying for room service is next to none. The buffet, well if you like burgers, hot dogs, pre made eggs (you have to leave the Resturant and go down a floor, yes go down a floor, to get fresh eggs. You are then suppose to return to the main buffet room to eat. The waiters continued through breakfast to come round selling the specialty restaurants saying if you want more selection or better food, upscale. Starbucks was expensive The mini bites and ‘boardwalk’ area served.... hot dogs but we’re shut by 9!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools were great, entertainment and fun around them at times were also fun. Everybody enjoyed the volleyball and other water sport games.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows and entertainment were great and engaging. 10/10 from karaoke, grease, jazz, nightclubs to the water shows.

Children's Programs

I had no children in my party

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everybody from friendly and engaging

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All areas were clean and tidy. The rooms were kept spotless

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Having sailed with other cruise liners (Norwegian) the room was well laid out and bigger than I anticipated. Loads of cupboard space and additional drawers for the MRS who took up most of the room :)

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
The jet ski excursion was great. Loads of fun for all

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
Dunn’s River Falls were great but be ready for chaos. Make you own way up the fall to the top in around an hour but be prepared for long lines, holding and helping out strangers as the guides do nothing. Lovely views, lovely place but chaos

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
3rd time to Cozumel and loved it again. We went to playa de Mia beach resort. Used the facilities available like kayaking, water tricycles, inflatable area and chilled on the loungers. Great way to spend 5 hours off the boat.

Disembarkation

Happy to hear they are policing the chairs now too. We’re going on this ship for the first time in September and saw previous reviews about chair hogs. Good to know!

So happy to hear that the chair hogs are being handled on this ship!

Agree with you that there should be more late night food options. Prefer the dining room over Windjammer for lunch.

Pool police are doing a good job. Chair hogs are a pain.
