Review summary

The cruise was probably the best vacation I have ever had. Everything was amazing. One recommendation to HOS is to upgrade your speaker system in some way. The only time you could hear what the captain or cruise director was saying was if you happened to be in the hallway of your stateroom. If you were anywhere else on the ship, it was all muffled and echoed and nobody could hear.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Embarkation was a mess. It took almost 4 hours of being hurdled from line to line before finally making it onto the ship. The sound system was horrible so you couldn’t even hear what was going on. We found out after getting on that they were cleaning the ship more than usual because of a norovirus outbreak upon return. If they would have just told everyone (without that horrible microphone) it would have made things a little better.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything dealing with food was excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was plenty to do on sea days. My kids did every activity without waiting in line. It was wonderful

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were fabulous. I would suggest getting a variety of comedians. On other cruises I have sailed, there were a variety of comedy shows. Harmony had ONE adult comedy night (which was just ok) and ONE family comedy show which ended up being the same comedians that performed for the adults. Other cruises we sailed had an adult comedy show every night with different comedians. The other shows were great.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Kids loved the friends they made at the kids clubs.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiter and assistant were fabulous. Looked forward to dinner every night. The cabin steward was ok. The room was always nice and put in order, but our towel animals sucked compared to others.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Excellent!!! I never came across anything that didn’t look spotless.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was perfect. We had two adjoining rooms which worked out perfectly for my family. Everything was wonderful. We had a boardwalk balcony which was a little loud sometimes but if you are a people watcher then this is the room for you! It was very enjoyable.

Ship tip

Book shows in advance!!!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We only ate dinner and had a hotel room the day before the cruise.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We did the ATV excursion which I would HIGHLY recommend. It was amazing. The highlight of our trip!!!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
We got a shuttle after getting off the ship (not a preplanned excursion) but it turned out to be great. I kind of felt like I was on a class trip but we saw all of the important things in San Juan and did some shopping. It was a great day.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
The beach was amazing, the zip lining was awesome....the merchants were HORRIBLE!!!! I suggest staying away from the market place. I thought we were going to be robbed. They are so aggressive in trying to get you into THEIR shop as apposed to someone else’s. If the merchants were a little more laid back and let people shop on their own, they would probably do 10 times the business. People want to look and shop, they don’t want to be touched and bullied into buying stuff.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did early disembarkation because we had an early flight. We carried our own luggage off. It was simple. We got off by 7:30 and at the airport by 8:00.
