Harmony of the Seas is a good ship with much to do given its size. However, I didn't enjoy the cruise at all mainly because the food was mediocre at best. substituting ingredients with imitation products is inexcusable. Soups tasted like Asian soup noodle soups and 95% of everything else was bland or overcooked or just poorly made. Many things just seemed to be a result of inexperience or lack of care for standard. The only positive memory was how well maintained our room was 24/7 and the countless DreamWorks movies I watched. This cruise was very disappointing to me.
Embarkation

from door to door, the whole process was smooth and hassle free. Everyone was helpful and efficient.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The food on the ship was very disappointing. from the Cafe and pizzas to the main dinning room, though the meals were prepared well EVERYTHING was made bland and some foods were terribly made. My worst experience was having crab cakes that were made with artificial crab meat; the pizzas all tasted like cheese pizza; and the juices were watered down. The beef courses were always good but the chicken and seafood dishes were always over cooked. Even raw fish was served cooked.
In the buffet, everyday was pretty much the same foods. There was a wide range of food choices to choose from, however, most foods were simply overcooked or bad. It would have been nicer to have less options each day but variety during the week.
Even the specialty restaurant I tried (Wonderland) was just mediocre. the creations weren't worth a second go.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Activities were fine but didn't really suit me. Not much to comment on.
Promenade Shops
2 out of 5
When it comes to shopping on a ship, maybe there should be interesting things to sell and buy for all ages. If i wanted high end hand bags and watches, I could go to Yorkdale Mall in Toronto, Canada for those any day.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Though the shows were not great to my taste, i thought they were okay in general. My favorite part was watching movies on TV in my room.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Nothing extraordinary. The service experienced on my previous cruises with Royal Caribbean and Princess Cruises was MUCH more memorable. The service here was comparable to a typical 4-star hotel.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Only thing to note is the fitness room. It would be nice to have the fitness gym facing a large window of the outside.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
It was beautiful, spacious for 2 or even 3 people. The layout was good but could be better. There is very little privacy. Once you open the door to your cabin, you'll see everything inside. Also, our cabin was really cold despite turning down the temperature. Otherwise, no further complaints.
Ship tip
I don't think I would suggest it if the individual loves food like I do.
I didn't go on excursions. I stayed in the port. I wish there was more to see and do other than buying diamonds. Walking out past the gated wall was a little unpleasant. But that doesn't affect my view of Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas.
Fake News
I have been on this ship 3 times. Going again 3/3/18. Don’t listen to him. Apparently he only needs a 📺 to have fun. Food is great, shows are amazing and the crew to die for.
You have nothing to compare it to you've never been on a cruise according to your profile go on other cruises and then make your comment..maybe you would prefer Carnival lines
I have a question for you are you a reach person than you have a chef at your house to be so f.......g picki and big complainer next time stay at home brother
Thanks for your honest feedback. I won’t slam you for stating how you feel. I always appreciate hearing other’s opinions on the downside of cruising and/or the different ships. It helps me adjust my expectations or plan ahead to counter the negatives. So, if you tell me all the food is bland, I won’t knock you for saying so. Instead I will thank you and pack some spices when I go!
You didn't like it onboard but wanted to stay onboard longer? Maybe next time they will postpone the next group that paid to be onboard so that you can stay longer and complain about more. Maybe...
