Review summary
This was our first cruise and it won't be our last! The ship exceeded our expectations and even seven days wasn't enough to explore everything.
Embarkation went pretty smoothly, although, as newbies, the transfers from the airport were a little dicey and I definitely understand the value in packing lightly for the next time! Our first couple of hours on the ship were heavenly, as we found the Solarium Bar where we sipped some delicious pina coladas in the open sea air before the ship left port.
Our cabin was a huge disappointment! We went with an interior cabin, so were prepared for the lack of light and fresh air...to a certain point. What we were NOT prepared for, though, was the overwhelming stench of sewage emanating from the hallway as you made your way toward the cabin. We complained immediately to the steward, who said he could not smell it, even though a number of other passengers, as they passed in the hallway had complained as well. A housekeeping supervisor was sent to us next. He, as well, coulldn't seem to detect the odor, but promised that, as we went for dinner, it would "be taken care of." We returned to the cabin to find that the entire space had been sprayed with something that had the instantaneous effect of causing congestion, sneezing and headaches for both my husband and myself. Our first night was spent awake and sick.
The next day, we went to Customer Services to complain again and were told, as we had been the previous evening, that there were no other cabins in our category available. We persisted, citing our sleepless night and allergic reactions. By 5:00, a supervisor secured us another interior cabin which lacked the noxious odor. We, however, were in charge of moving all of our belongings from cabin to cabin in the space of ten minutes, in order to make our dinner reservations.
Highlights on the ship included having drinks at the Robotic Bar, the Hush Party, Karaoke, Trivia, and dinner at Wonderland. I cannot express strongly enough that eating in this specialty restaurant is an experience not to me missed. The decor is enchanting, the service unparalleled, and the food unimaginably unique and presented in such a beautiful manner. Truly an experience you won't forget!
All in all, I would recommend a cruise on Harmony, although I am curious to try another line for our next trip, just for comparison's sake.

Don't skip Wonderland specialty restaurant. If your budget allows, try to book something other than an interior cabin.
