Review summary

Overall this ship was great, and the staff did a very nice job.  There are many activities to do on-board, and they had some of the best shows we have seen on any cruise (this was our 9th cruise, 7 which have been on Royal Caribbean).  The food in the main dining room and Windjammer was better than most ships, and the Chops Grille was very good.  The service was mostly very good, though we did have a few less than great experiences due to the large number of guest on the ship.  Two times at the bar, the bar tenders couldn't (or didn't want to) keep track of the next customer to be served.  And our first couple of evenings in the main dining room, the waiters and waitresses were very overwhelmed.  I felt these issues were more a problem with Royal Caribbean's staffing and space allocation because their employees were working very hard.  Our stateroom was a Boardwalk Balcony room.  This room was very noisy during the Aqua Theatre shows the first few nights.  They provide several extra perks for the guest in these rooms which was a nice gesture.  I believe RC will continue to read their customer reviews and make adjustments in the future.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was very good though the tables in the dining room were spaced very close together.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Overall the best entertainment on any cruise that we have traveled.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Joven provided great service in the dining room, and Allyn took great care as our suite attendant.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice room with plenty of storage and a refrigerator. The bathroom has a built in night light, and the bathroom and mirror don't fog up while showering (obviously RC has done their homework).

Ship tip

Be patient. It's not worth ruining your vacation when things get a little hectic.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
I do like Port Canaveral better.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
You really don't have to get off the ship. Enjoy a quiet day on the ship.

Falmouth, Jamaica

The Jamaican people have obviously been told to stop being so pushy. We had a great experience on our shore excursion.

Cozumel, Mexico

I had the same problem at the bars by the pools on a recent cruise. I had to get mad and let them know i had been standing there before others they were waiting on.
