Review summary

Royal caribbean built a beautiful ship. My problem and the same with other passengers. Royal has sacrificed quality for quantity, the food was horrible and now everything that's decent including room service has a charge. You have to make reservations for every show not like in the past where you could just walk up and see the show. There is too many people, if Royal would cut down the amount of people with the same size of ship it would be really nice. The new cabin designs we're very bad and I was in a balcony. The sinks and counter space were so small that every time you used the sink all the water ended up on the floor. The shower was nice if they only had a soap and shampoo dispenser. They have the bracket. They even cut down shelf space and lowered the beds so  empty luggage doesnt fit under the beds anymore. As 2 people we ran out of room i couldnt imagine 3or4. With such a new technologically advanced ship the air circulation was very very poor for even a winter cruise I could not imagine being on this ship during the summer. Royal if you guys read these reviews please make some changes the price of your fares are enough I'm sure to cover decent food and include room service. If you plan on building another ship make the rooms bigger and cut down the people and structure the floor plan to flow a little more smoother and I think you would have the best ship in the world. All of your employees were awesome customer service was great even as tired as most of them looked they still made an effort to say hello or to smile to me that was very impressive kudos to all of them.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Main dining was horrible. The chef must have thought his gravy was the best because he poured it on everything including tempura shrimp. The menu selection was boring and tasteless. Windjammer buffet it was a buffet enough said. The pay and specialty food was great, but you had to pay for it. Room service is not free anymore and could take anywhere from 3 to 4 hours to get your food.

Onboard Activities

They have a lot of things but not a whole lot of activities to engage the crowd.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The floor plan did not flow and the most populated places were built the smallest. The places with less than 20 people were built huge never filling the space. The cabins we're horrible design they have cut down shelf space and made them smaller. The air circulation of such a new ship was terrible.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Cabin was hot even after four calls to maintenance. Sink was so small just washing my hands water ended up all over the floor. Brackets were installed for soap dispensers but no dispensers. We were told there was to many complaints of people hitting their elbows. Beds were lowered so empty luggage did not fit under. Suitcases and dirty clothes had to be piled in a corner.

Ship tip

The ship is beautiful but be prepared to bring your credit card if you like good food. Reserve shows weeks in advance before your cruise or you will not get to see anything. Bring your boxing gloves to the buffet because fighting with 4000 hungry people is a challenge.
