Review summary

I love the design and modern/technological part of the ship.  The systems placed in order to save energy are so incredible.  I loved the shows and the entertainment, but it can improve.

I did not liked the size of the cabin.  Some employees were not pleasant or helpful, but we did have a great cabin steward and dining room waiter. The lay out of the shops is not adequate.  It was messy at times when the photographers wanted to take professional portraits and sales are going on. Everything centered on the promenade deck (5th).

The best show for me was the Fine Line.  They were incredible acrobats, gymnastics and synchronized team.  The ventriloquist was amazing and made us laugh so much.  He was very pleasant a and humble.  I would highly recommend downloading the Royal IQ and the beverage package.  It's worth every penny.  None of the officers were reachable or eager to meet and greet.  The teen program was good but none of them were able to watch the shows onboard while their activities were going on.  The art is amazing onboard.  Do sign the waivers on your TV as soon as the cabin is available and the system is up.

I highly recommend making reservations on the website and/or onboard as soon as you get in.  The shows always have some space, but at time they were fully booked.  Do not expect many pictures to be taken.  The price for them is $19.99 regardless if you buy the print out or the digital version (bommer).  There are no specials packages onboard for prints, only the ones on the website.  If you are a gold or above member, the second picture is half off.  The crew is not too aware of the privileges of been a crown member and sometimes they do not apply them, like buying wine and getting one free.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The food was not impressive and it was mostly cold by the time it reached our table. The best place to eat quietly, with good and warm food was the Solarium Bistro.

I would add more opportunities for the teens to attend the shows together.

Service and Staff

Our cabin steward Lystra and our dining room waiter Elmer were the best ones onboard. We did get good service from one crew member of the help desk and the floating bar.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I loved the ship but not the lay out of the gift shops. The bar employees were pretty quick and pleasant. The ship was always clean and nicely decorated. Some areas will need constant maintenance.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was nice and state of the art, but catches lots of dust. I would recommend it for families with small kids or three per cabin only. We were quite tight and it was hard to move around when the sofa was opened.

Ship tip

Buy the drink package and remember to bring shampoo/conditioner. There are very limited amount of toiletries onboard for sale. Do bring clothing that do not require ironing. The dry cleaning is not expensive but you can save money if not needed.

We took the horse riding and it was great. We also had the chance to learn about tequila making with a free tour. You only buy if you like and the tasting was amazing.
