Review summary

We loved the Harmony of the Seas as a ship, but there are some things that need to be fixed. This cruise ship has plenty to offer. The overall food in the main dining room was quite good. The challenges we had on the ship had to do with service and cleanliness. Many bars were understaffed, so there were long waits. The staff was basically doing their job, but nothing extra in the way of friendliness or interaction. The bathrooms in public areas were not maintained, with trash cans overflowing. Our cabin smelled like "fish" and no one seemed to be able to get rid of the smell. Dirty glasses were left in the room after the room was cleaned. I had to ask for replacement of a bar of soap. No tissues were provided. If I'm a Platinum member of Crown & Anchor and never felt special. We've been on several other Royal Caribbean cruises and never felt this way. Maybe they are

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Enjoy Main Dining (some confusion about reservations). Jamie's Italian was very good. Sabors was good, but a very short entree menu. Mostly, taco type food.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
They seemed like they were't enjoying themselves. It was just a job. I never experienced that before on Royal Caribbean. Our cabin steward was fair.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship quality is excellent. They did a great job in make Harmony beautiful. As far as cleanliness, the public areas like restrooms, were not kept up with. Our cabin was left with used glasses and the room had a smell that no one could get rid of.

Cabin / Stateroom

Noisy from waves, noisy late at night with music reflecting from the top decks, A smell in the cabin that could not be removed. It smelled like fish.

Ship tip

Bring shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Don't get a cabin in the front of the ship. The Solarium Cafe is quieter place to have breakfast.
