We chose the beach day. It was a bit of a walk to the beach and when we got there we needed to go down a dangerous area of stones, logs, and broken concrete. The beach entrance needs to be repaired before someone gets seriously injured.
Wonderful! People were friendly, shared so much information and are genuinely happy to show us their home. We did the bus/train trip around the entire island. We enjoyed every moment of it and the tour guides were wonderful! Highly recommend!
We chose the Open top bus tour. The city was not as clean as other areas we toured. Roadways we're littered.
There was very little information given by the tour guide. The automated tour recording was sparse and repeated the same information more than once. Traffic was awful, there was an accident which resulted in us sitting at the airport in the heat for an extra hour. Thankfully, our captain waited for us to get back before sailing. We had to walk way to far when getting off the bus as they could never park close due to traffic. I would never take this tour again and I am not sure I would ever recommend going to St. Maarten to a friend.
We did a bus tour of San Juan and a trip to the mall. Lots of information shared by our tour guide and lovely mall for shopping. Impressed by the cleanliness of the city.
Crowded and confusing at the ship elevators on deck 4. We needed a crew person to direct traffic. Once we got off the ship the terminal went well. However, waiting for our shuttle to the parking lot was a pleasant experience.
