Review summary

Will miss this ship when she leaves next year. We like her size and the crew gets to know the guests so we're well taken care of. Food is excellent in chops and variety in windjammer is nice. Bartenders are friendly and fun.

Chops and Givanti always good and a couple new menu items. Buffet has a wonderful staff and variety of choices good. Only one night in main dinning room and food tasty and service top notch.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Solarium is marvelous and pool nice and warm. Plenty of places to stretch out or get a table and grab something from park cafe.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Really laughed and enjoyed the comedy team from LA. Ships bands were good. Good movies shown on pool deck and theater.

Children's Programs

Didn't travel with grandchildren this time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone on Granduer is always happy helpful and making sure we are happy. It's the main reason we like this ship.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Love design of small ships. She's showing her age but they're trying to stay on top of it. Staff always seen cleaning and polishing.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Surprised with it being large and comfortable. Ray kept it clean and checked often that we were happy.

Ship tip

Overlook her age and you'll have a marvelous time.

Bigshadey8. GOS has been sold to Pullman cruises. She will leave the RCCL fleet in 2021. another ship, same size and class, is coming to Baltimore. I have been cruising on GOS since the 1990s. She is a lovely ship and the crew is amazing. We are sailing her again in april.

I am going on my first cruise on this ship in May. Are they going to be using a different shop from Baltimore next year. Is this ship retiring?

It’s a shame they are selling them. Guess I’ll have to try the Radiance class ships in the future.

We do like the smaller classic cruisers over the large mega ships. We never use the amusement park like feature on mega ship do we do not miss them
