Review summary

We enjoy getting away from winter. Baltimore is a convenient drive and royal Caribbean is about our favorite cruise line. Especially for the value. We will continue on Royal, when possible, We are going to Greenland next year and Royal does not go there. Otherwise, we would be on Royal for that one too.

We arrived by hotel shuttle. Sat in the terminal a little while then proceeded through the paperwork and onto the ship. Our state room was available by 1:00 and our luggage arrive by 2:00

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did not go to any specialty restaurants. We fing the main dining room and Windjammer quite nice.

Onboard Activities

My wife loves trivia. So we do that often. We also like the dance classes which many ships do not have. The games are fun and the shows quite good.

We really enjoy the live music, production shows and most headliners. We had one comedienne who was okay. But it may have been that we were tired and just didn't appreciate him as much.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They are always asking what they can do for you and how they can improve your stay.

Ship Quality

Someone is always coming around to pick up trash and wipe the surfaces.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We always choose inside cabins because we spend so little time there. The showers are small and I would like to have bar soap in the shower. But the cabin attendant makes certain the cabin is clean and attractive.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland Did not visit port

We only got on the ship.

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

We did a guided bike ride. It was a nice change from riding the bus. Our guide was excellent. We visited a soon to be open bed and breakfast, feather Leaf Inn, that was amazing.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Caribbean Beach Escape. I love just sitting and listening to the waves. Lunch was good. The yachts are amazing to see.

Castries, St. Lucia

Panoramic St Lucia. It seemed like a lot of riding on the bus for a few beautiful views.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
Flavors of Barbados and Island Drive. The highlight of this was the rum demonstration. It made the whole trip.

We waited in the theater for about a half an hour. Then processed off quickly.
