Review summary

Of all the cruises we have taken this was the worst the captain of the ship was outstanding navigating is through the first Nor'easter of the year which were high winds high waves and just a miserable time fortunately I don't get seasick cuz I was a lifeguard but other than that everyone else on the ship did very rough very scary my opinion on Royal Caribbean is that it has slipped a little in quality

Embarkation

Ship experiences

1 out of 5

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
the crew and staff for the very best

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Ship needs to be retired one of the oldest in the Royal Caribbean Fleet I know it's the only one that can get into smaller ports but quit building these Mega ships and start building some smaller ships that would help

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
We always get a suite on all of our ships this was one of the smallest most cramps Suite I have ever been in not at all like Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the sea or Oasis of the Sea tiny very tiny

Ship tip

Don't get on it

I think you may have overlooked the fact that this is, the oldest & smallest ship in their fleet. Knowing that, how could someone expect the comfort of the larger class ships ? Small ship = small rooms.

My October Bermuda cruise hit rough seas coming back. A knife on my table went flying and, I could hear dishes falling due to the rocking. Wind were so strong they had to use a tugboat to get us to the pier. I was delayed getting on and off the ship. Still, I had a nice time. In late March 2021, Grandeur will leave Baltimore, be transferred to the Pullmantur line and be replaced by Enchantment.

Hope you were able to enjoy, it unfortunate but the captain has no control over the weather.

The smaller ships will be Celebrity and Azamara. RC will be the mass lines with the Voyager class being the smallest. If RC can't get a modern ship into Baltimore they need to leave Baltimore and start sailing from other ports Norfolk or Charleston. But another Vision class ship in Baltimore means fewer RC cruises for me.🤬

We also had rough seas in September following Humberto and going around Jerry. Lots of people got sick but we brought our dramamine and were fine. We thought the captain was great and loved the ship. It will be leaving Royals fleet in spring 2021.

We love the Grandeur, our suite was plenty roomy. This ship is being replaced by the Enchantment next year for the Baltimore port. Your review is difficult to read without punctuation. But I agree, cruise lines need a few new smaller ships.
