Best cruise ever with family. Had lots of fun and met nice people.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Wait was 2 hours to board. Ship late coming in. RC notified us not to come before 12:30. Arrived at 1:45 as did most other passengers, made for long lines from luggage drop off to boarding.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was great. Buffet had lots of choices. Dining room food was delicious. Always had healthy choices in all food venues. Service was top notch, shout out to Shereen and Danesh.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
So many activities. Trivia, pool games, kareoke and Bingo. The best area is the Centrum. Music and games throughout the day. Band was very good. Crew put on a 70’s dance party, such fun. Arrive early for a seat as Centrum fills up fast.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Lots of entertainment. Live band at pool daily.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
Granddaughter loved the kids club. Teen club for my Grandson offered free video game play.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Can’t say enough about the crew , very friendly and provided great service. The entertainment staff and casino staff were wonderful.
Our Dining team, Shereen and Dinesh were the best.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Loved the ship, easy to maneuver, second time on the Grandeur. While ship is older, was clean and well kept.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was a good size, lots of storage and very clean. Bed was comfy.
Few issues: the crew area was across the hall and we heard the door slam early in the morning as crew went in and out. Also only 2 electrical plugs in the room at the vanity. Could have used one in bathroom and one by the bar.
Ship tip
Get the drink package before you board. Once on ship the rate is much higher.
What you didn't know at the embarkation was they had to use a tugboat to get to the pier AND, there were only 2 customs officers checking passports. There were 2,109 passengers on the cruise before yours. I was 1 of them and was lucky to leave the ship at Noon. Am glad you had a nice cruise. I wondered how it went for those who were arriving as I was leaving.
Glad you enjoyed it and had a great time. I’ve seen lots of negative reviews about the ship, food and service recently. It seems many are just looking for a reason to complain. Nothing is ever perfect, but it seems almost impossible to me to not be able to find something to eat on a cruise as some have mentioned.
