Review summary

I know cruising is very popular, but this was not an experience I am likely to repeat

Embarkation

2 out of 5
parking is more expensive than it should be

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Buffet was fine, but it's a buffet. Steak house was good. Italian restaurant (Giovanni's table) was bad -- four of us had different meals and they were all barely edible, worse than the buffet.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
pool has no slide, rock climbing wall is open 2 hours a day. Fitness center just wants to sell you spa treatments

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Shows were boring and not entertaining. show tunes were disjointed and lackluster, comedy was not funny

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
everyone is friendly and nice

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
It's a mediocre ship but clean

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Room was nice, liked the balcony. Can't imagine what something less than a suite would be like

Ship tip

Bermuda is amazing. But you can fly there and stay for 4-5 nights for the same price as the ship

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Amazing beaches. Expensive though

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
we got off the boat

Cruising is not for everyone. I think you are on the right track with Flying to Bermuda!

We loved her, Quaint, clean, relaxing, we had xmas to past new year. With 6 adults and 2 teens. We all had a great time. And we've all been on bigger ships.

You take your attitude everywhere, so maybe this is not for you. If one stayed in Bermuda, it would cost a small fortune to eat. And anyone can use the gym for free. We have done it many times.

You chose one of Royal Caribbeans smallest ships then complain about the lack of things to do. We're going on this ship in a few weeks and we know it doesn't have alot of bells and whistles. But we want to see Bermuda. Try a big ship with lots to do next time, it will cost more but you might like it more.

First, I totally respect your opinion. It's your opinion.... you were on the ship I was on in 1999!! Its old, you can bring it into dry dock spend lots of money to update it but it's still OLD. I do alot of research on each ship prior to going on them, if I had a less than great experience, it's my fault. Yes you may have been able to fly to an island and stay there 4 days for some price but that's all you would do. STAY THERE. I think anyone judging part of their experience based on buffets blow my mind. It's a poor complaint as there are many other free options. Personally, the only time I see windjammer is when I am walking through it to get to some place else. Try a newer ship before you wave the white flag. Nobody likes spending lots of money to go on vacation and have a bad experience. Or, you can spend alot of money and go one place and be content, all personal preference.

I loved the Grandeur. Maybe cruising just isn't for you.

Sounds like cruising isn’t for you. Most love it, but it’s not for everyone.
