Review summary

Definitely would go again maybe in the fall to see all the great colors. This cruise exceeded our expectation. Thanks to all the comments of long time cruisers. You made our cruise less stressful.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were shuttled to the port. Got to the port at 10:00 and was on with drink in hand by 10:20

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had deck 4 dinning . Our wait staff was amazing, very friendly. Shout out to Harjo and Mingye for their great attention to our table.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed Anna at the piano and the shuffle board. The karaoke was great.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Absolutely loved The Tenors, the comedian, the lady’s tribute to Whitney Houston.

Children's Programs

Traveled with just my husband and I.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had Horanze as our room steward. He was very friendly and took care of our every need.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very easy to get around. This was our first ever cruise and loved the idea of a smaller ship. We saw them cleaning constantly.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was easy to get around as we had the room steward separate the beds. There went plenty of clothes hangers and drawers to put away all your clothes. The shower is manageable after I got the hang of doing a military shower.

Ship tip

We took way too many clothes. Rethink your days of weather and wearing outfits over again.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

We went on our own to Fort McHenry the day before we embarked. It was wonderful as my husband is retired military. A

Boston, Massachusetts

We did the trolley ride. Had to wait 45 minutes for bus to get to us and therefore driver had to skip stops 1 and 2. By the time we got to stop 13 the Boston Tea party museum it was too late to get tickets before boarding the last bus at 5:00 to get back to the ship.

Portland, Maine

Beautiful Harbor Cruise of the lighthouses and forts.

Bar Harbor, Maine

My favorite. Acadia National Park. Saw Cadillac Mountain and Thunder Hole. Would have loved more time at both stops. Then we walked the quaint town. Beautiful town with lots of little shops . We had lobster roll and oyster Rockefeller and of course the blueberry pie. Yum yum.

Saint John, New Brunswick

We did a city bus tour. Driver talked to much about himself. Only made a couple stops with one being the Reversing Falls. Did see a harbor seal.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Would have gave 5 stars just for Peggys Cove, we did the combo Peggys Cove and double decker bus tour. The bus tour was a bust. By the time we got on there was no time to hop off and on to get to the maritime museum and the citadel before returning to the ship. Very disappointed. RCCL needs to separate the two. Peggys Cove was a definite go see.

Disembarkation

Very easy. We had the 9:30 disembark time so we got to spend extra time to say our goodbyes to friends we met on the cruise.

So maybe the middle of October would be better? If the ship even goes in October.

We went the end of September and still missed the fall colors. Glad you enjoyed.
