Review summary

This was a great 9 day cruise. 5 ports in 5 days is a little more than we could handle and with what St. John's has could easily be a 4 port trip with a sea day in the middle. It is a perfect size ship for those who are just looking to relax. Plenty of activities to keep you busy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Breakfast was excellent. Lunch and dinner food never would be hot. Would have loved a cold salad too. Only ate at Windjammer.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Trivia was great and coloring activity was peaceful!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Tribute to Whitney was fantastic along with the juggling comedy as well as the late-night adult comedy. Orchestra was superb. Theatre shows were ok at best.

Children's Programs

Did not travel with children

Service and Staff

Everyone on this ship goes out of their way to give you the best service. They are passionate about the service they provide.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
For the age of the ship it is still clean and maintained. Does it need a design overhaul? Absolutely but it is still well taken care of.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cleanliness was top notch. The size is adequate for 2. Bed was quite comfortable. Lots of storage! We loved that. Couch could come out for a smaller chair as it was difficult to get around bed when put together. Rooms of course need a major overhaul on style but for what it was it was great.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Inner Harbor and the National Aquarium were great! Easy to navigate and get around.

Boston, Massachusetts

Went to Salem and the Quincy Market. Traffic of course is a nightmare but that is to be expected.

Portland, Maine

5 out of 5
We did a Mailboat tour on our own. Was awesome. Ate the best seafood of the trip at Gabriel's Chowder House.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Did the Acadia National Park tour and then did shopping and strolled around the town. Loved Bar Harbor!

Saint John, New Brunswick

3 out of 5
Not much to do locally.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Did Hop on Hop Off tour. Loved the city and it had lots to do. The boardwalk itself could have taken the entire day.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The easiest of all our cruises. We were off and to our ride share in all of 10 minutes.
