Grandeur was a beautiful ship small and not alot to do. The cruise was to a cold climate and we learned that this was a major drawback we will always go warm from now on
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Port of Baltimore is a small warehouse turned into a port terminal. However the people there were quick and efficient and got us on board fast
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was great all the way. On the 9 night we ate in MDR twice Izumi twice and the rest was at Windjammer.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
This was a cruise up to Canda. It was too cold to use the outdoor pool and usually the indoor as well. Same with the rock climbing wall too windy. There was Alot of travia games. Serveral Art Auctions seemed more than usually to me. Any many Karoke parties. This cruise had a definite amount of Older cruisers so the activities were geared towards them.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
There was many different shows. We was there for the closing of the old cast show and the opening of the new. The new show was fantastic. There was also 2 different comedians a singer and magician
Children's Programs
Do not have young children
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
There was a handful of staff that gave superior service. A bartender our MDR staff and the waiter at Izumi. Of course the hardest worker on a cruise is the room stewards and ours was great
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
This was the biggest surprise. We knew Grandeur was an older ship so expected the need for repairs and upkeep but what we found was A Beautiful Ship
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
First time in a Jr suite. Perfect size room for three adults. A great balcony wished it was warmer so we good use it more.
Always research the weather and reviews for similar cruises from prior years. Many take an early or late season cruise to New England, Canada or Alaska because the prices are cheaper. There Is usually a reason the prices are cheaper, and weather is one of them.
