Review summary

We really enjoyed our cruise on Grandeur. We have sailed on the Celebrity Summit about 3 or 4 times before this cruise and we felt that Grandeur was very comparable to the Summit. This is a fantastic ship for someone who likes the smaller ship feel. I am a bigger ship kind of guy, but I have to say that I really liked the feel of a small ship. I would definitely recommend the itinerary to someone who wants to experience something other than just Caribbean cruises or something popular for first-time cruisers. I think this itinerary is not one that first-time cruisers would choose, but I think it is great for almost every cruiser. Loved our trip and would love to get back on this ship again.

Our waiter was fantastic. He really took the time to get to know us and our preferences. I really hope I can see him on another ship some time soon.

We got off the ship, took a taxi to a shopping area and had lunch on shore. It wasn't anything amazing, but we enjoyed our time there.

Portland, Maine

I did a train tour up and down the coast line. We then had a delicious lunch of freshly caught Maine lobster. Would definitely recommend.

Bar Harbor, Maine

We did a bus tour of Cadillac Mountain and Thunder Hole. We really enjoyed this as well as the little town. We are also considering spending a long weekend there.

Saint John, New Brunswick

We really did not enjoy this port at all. We found almost nothing to do. If we every go there on another cruise, we won't get off the ship.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

We had terrible weather this day. There was extremely thick fog all day as well as some rain which made the time on shore almost un-enjoyable.
