Review summary

This cruise to Bermuda never happened and the decision to go towards Bermuda should not have happened in this day and time.  It was the roughest ride ever had on the cruise and we only went from Baltimore to the end of the Chesapeake Bay before we turned around and went past Baltimore to New Jersey. We were told that we were going to Canada and that didn't happened! At first we were offered a 50% on our next cruise and after so many complaints and motion sickness that we received and offer of 100% on next cruise.  The Grandeur of the Seas ship should be rehab because of the many water problems that came in the rooms and everywhere else.

Ship Quality

This ship had a lot of problems. At least 3 window fell in the closed in pool. A lot of leaking water on the floors of the ship. Several rooms leaked water as did my room and some rooms were like pools. They took up carpets and had to replace in the rooms. I didn't like the attitude of guest services when my brother-in-laws rooms was flooded like a pool and they told him there was not another room available for them to move which turned out to not be true.

Cabin / Stateroom

our cabin seemed like it was updated but water did get in the room and we used towels to soak up the water.

Ship tip

check your room because it might have been water logged.

We stay at best Western on O'Donnel St. They offer transfer to very easy check-in at Port. I believe 50. . we go every year on grandeur. Back to back.

Can anyone suggest a good place to stay in Baltimore? Close to the terminal? And is embarkation as quick as in Bayonne ? Thanks!

Seems like the cruise line went above and beyond for you. They don't control the weather but tried to make a cruise for you. When that didn't work you got a 100% refund and....if I am not mistaken you were still on vacation, not at home or work.

And you got 100% refund, cruise lines dont control the weather. You rarely see full refunds unless the cruiseline is at fault.

It's actually being dry-docked in the Spring
