Review summary

Very disappointed in several things on the ship.  The food was not too good.  We went to all of the places to eat, the original dining restaurant, which was ok; the buffet was much better.  Then we went to the Japanese restaurant, and we love the Japanese restaurant near our home, but did not enjoy this one. Then proceeded to the "Italian" restaurant and was extremely disappointing.  The last one, can't remember the name, but it was about "chills" and that was the best dinner onboard.

We both were very upset and couldn't wait to get back to Baltimore.

The room that was given to us could not have been any smaller. I remember "scheduling" two beds, and didn't find out that the "single" bed which we had, was two put together!!! Unfortunately, my husband was extremely uncomfortable, and he slept in the tiny chair!!

Gave me credit certificates for future cruise knowing I can't cruise with them ever again. Typical global business company

The food has certainly gone down hill. I was supposed to have a salt free menu. They told me AFTER I was onboard and three days later that they have no such menu. Just a so called "low sodiym." Not nearly the same. Misled me for sure.

As I previously stated this was one of our best cruises ever. The Italian restaurant (Giovannis) was excellent. You must be very hard to please.

I agree, the Japanese restaurant was a disappointment. However the rest were awesome...especially the Italian specialty restaurant.

I'm not exactly sure, but I believe it was 7 or 8.

Leeandtammy1966 which deck were you on. My theory is that the higher you are, the less problems you encounter.

We've sailed on her twice & she has the most awesome crew we've experienced on any ship. We just got back on the 17th of April from the last one. She's due for a refit the middle of Apr. 2017. We're doing New England/Canada Sept. 7th, 2017 on her. Love that ship & crew!😎

We are big cruise fans but sadly our Bermuda cruise on Grandeur was a bit of a disappointment as well. The AC in our cabin didn't work, first they gave us a fan, then after a miserable night we moved to another room which was a pain because we had already unpacked. The ship seems like it could use some updates for sure.

Grandeur was our 1st cruise and because of the amazing experience we had, we are now cruise-addicted! From the staff, to the food, to the onboard experiences, she's an older ship but a goodie! My fav boat to date..love her smaller size, simplicity, and sailing location of Bermuda...Sorry you didnt have the same experience...

Was there anything that you did like?

Oh, too bad nothing appealed to you on this lovely little ship. Have sailed twice on her and had two fabulous cruises. Sounds like cruising isn't your thing. You would probably enjoy a "Staycation" better.
