Review summary

Stateroom cramped, bathroom ridiculously tiny. We paid for an upgrade balcony stateroom, it was barely adequate. The staff is very good, especially our service in the dining room. Food in the DR was fine, but the portions are very small - good thing you can order all of what you want. RC has cut back considerably in recent years. This was our 2nd cruise on G of the S, and items that were included before are now extra. We felt like they were nickel and diming us all the time, from the time we arrived until the time we left it was a constant sales job. Very annoying. Excursions were adequate but nothing special. Might be better off buying your tours right from the locals in town. They blocked internet service also. If you want to get to your email or use the web you have to buy their very expensive wifi package. Lastly, the G of the S does not handle rough seas as well as larger ships. You should consider larger vessel out of Jersey or NY if that matters to you.
