Review summary

This is a rare Sydney to San Fran cruise, it is a 25 year old ship, Pacific can be rough, 70% Sea days,, entertainment is limited, if you can come to terms with this, the cruise will be fun….staff was wonderful and made up for other shortcomings….

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Long and a bit confusing

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Bars were great, dining room very good, buffets a little weak, coffee outstanding

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Ok, many sea days, so some repetition, a little disorganized. A lot of trivia’s with repeat answers….no bad

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Only a few big shows for so long a trip, but fine

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very good, very friendly

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Very old ship, but we liked the large spaces……could have been cleaner

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Older style, but clean and obstructed view not an issue, however lifeboat banging against the wall during high seas was an issue, temp control was also all over the place.

Ship tip

Old ship, no slides, go carts, wave pools, thermal pools. Very basic, but plenty of room to move around.

5 out of 5
Cruise excursions were expensive and did not include Pearl Harbor Memorial, use Uber and book yourself

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Very very confused, used Pier 80, which is a shipping port, not a cruise port….very difficult to get transportation
