The buffet was gross, people grabbing food with their hands, sneezing and coughing all over the place. The only food SERVED there was the soup. All buffet food should be served. This is where and how I got influenza which quarantined us for half the 7 days and 2 of 3 ports. The influenza was the worst I've ever seen in my life, thought it was covid but nope tested for both. Ate at the steakhouse 1st night and that food was great, and SERVED.

After we were tested and diagnosed for influenza and quarantined, our room steward disappeared, left us a red medical waste bag and told us to put all our garbage in there and leave in the hallway, slipped a breakfast lunch and dinner menu under the door for room service. Nothing else until we left.

The cabin was nice, thank goodness we had a mini suite because being quarantined in an interior wouldve felt like a grave.
Shuttled off with about 50 other passengers who had influenza in the aqua group. Lost our luggage for 40 minutes. Shove us in a taxi to the airport which we had to pay for because we couldnt use the transfers we purchased because of influenza.
hello, i love the grand princess, i love princess in general. their service is awesome! stick to holand america is you want all food served inclusions in the buffets. im sorry you got sick, and i understand your frustration, and i hope you will enjoy your next princess cruise! i do highly suggest HAL if you’re seeking a more safer and controlled buffet environment. princess is awesome thought! thanks:))
Sorry you got sick for three days. If you don’t believe in eating food unless it is served, why did you eat in the buffet? You should have left and went to the MDR, or any other eatery on the ship. They all serve you. Not sure what you wanted the room steward to do for you when you were quarantined. Maybe do a land based vacation. It wouldn’t have been any different on another line. People get sick everywhere.
I avoid eating at cruise ship buffets for exactly the reasons you state. I stick with the dining rooms, specialty restaurants and quick serve spots, because the food is served by crew.
Thanks for your feedback and sorry you were quarantined. We went on the same ship a week later and enjoyed the food and service overall. Hope you give Princess another chance.
