Review summary

I really loved my trip. I went with a group of 15 age range 83 to 14. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and their weren't many complaints. I heard many people who did complain but they just seemed to want the earth. I found the staff extremely polite and attentive. Maybe because l was polite and civil to them

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was reasonably quick and easy. If all information was on the app it was quick

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I ate at Botticellis of an evening. The food was really good except for a couple of nights which weren't great. The buffet was good, plenty of variety. Had dinner at the steak place and loved it, although l did hear people complain. Some of my party had dinner at sabortine and said it was amazing

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools etc were good. Not a lot to do for the younger members of my party. The movies under the stars was an exercise in bad movie choices

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I really enjoyed all the Trivia games etc, they were a lot of fun. Most of the stage shows were good. Some weren't great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service on this ship was excellent. The staff in all areas were fantastic, l was treated extremely well

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very clean in all public areas. The furniture was well worn. It needs a refurbish it's a bit old and tired but comfortable

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
My cabin was clean but very noisy. The ceiling had bits of wood wedged in places trying to stop the squeaking but it didn't work. The balcony was huge. On port days you could hear the cables being put into position, very loud. If there was a late show in the vista lounge there was no way you could sleep. Definitely not value for money

Ship tip

Great coffee and food at the international cafe

Big city, great hop on hop off bus service. Lots of things to see and do.

Disembarkation

Disembarkation was quick and easy. Unfortunately it's a long walk over very uneven foot paths to get to taxis. Very hard with all the luggage to wheel

Moral of the story, avoid certain rooms/areas, no matter how nice the price is. You must have had a guarantee room to be stuck over the Vista lounge. Not an area I would choose.
