Review summary

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on board the Grand Princess. Yes, she is an older ship but she is still grand. Our only complaint is the layout is a bit confusing, but we eventually got the hang of it. We chose anytime dining and had no issues, as long as you are happy to share a table, and we were, we never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. All the ports were great, and while we would have enjoyed more time in each port, we knew when we booked the cruise what the times were! Glacier Bay was a highlight for us, simply spectacular. Sadly we missed the Northern lights, apparently they were visible one night but no mention was made in the latter or anywhere else that there was a possibility of seeing them so we missed out. Maybe next time.
