Review summary

The people made the cruise but there were several complaints. We had two maintenance issues on day 1 and one of them came with a threat of a fine. The wifi only worked in common areas and only sometimes. We never had it work in the room and we bought the VOOM package. There were several erroneous charges on our accounts which were subsequently removed however, we spent so much time either at guest services or on the phone with guest services that the trip felt stressful and as though it was cut short as we weren't able to enjoy the ship amenities from the guest services line.

Main dining food and waitstaff were phenomenal. Windjammer buffet food was wonderful but it was a frenzied hustle and bustle of confusion to secure tables and lines to get food.

Fitness centre and spa were great. Pools and hot tubs were dirty and full.

Entertainment

Once Upon A Time was one of the best productions I've seen. The ice show, Freedom Ice, was entertaining as well.

Waiters, room stewards and guest services were great. We had some issues with attitudes at the spa (dismissive, rude) and were threatened by maintenance with a potential fine for clogging a toilet just hours after we had boarded that we hadn't used yet but was malfunctioning.

Ship Quality

The ship was clean but difficult to navigate for us. And not enough signage. When the gangway wad at level 1, nobody told us we couldn't simply take any elevator to level 1. So we went to level 2 to try to walk across which was also impossible. No signage regarding how to access the gangway for new cruisers.

Cabin / Stateroom

We liked it. The size was as expected. Shower was powerful. Plenty of closet space. We found remnants of the last person's trip, however, so those were unwelcome surprises.
