We really enjoyed our Royal Caribbean cruise on Freedom of the Seas. Being that this was our first cruise, I'd like to try other ships, but I'd definitely sail with Royal Caribbean again.

We paid for the specialty dining, so we never ate in the main dining room, but the food was excellent-it exceeded our expectations. We knew we weren't going to drink a lot of alcoholic beverages, so we paid for a few drinks out of pocket-they were expensive, but well made.
Onboard Activities

The pools were nice, but loud & always crowded.

We had a lot of fun at the stage shows and lounge shows. The entertainment staff was hysterical and fun.

The staff was outstanding. Our room steward did an excellent job continuously cleaning & tidying up our room and the wait staff were extremely friendly, helpful, jovial, and professional. Every staff member we encountered greeted us nicely.
Ship Quality

This was our first cruise, so I don't have another experience to compare this to, but the ship was always clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. We were 2 adults, so the king bed was perfect; the closet was actually bigger than we expected, so we had plenty of room for our clothes & belongings. (We slid our luggage under the bed once we unpacked.) The large window was nice, we used it often.
Ship tip
Be prepared to encounter children & families everywhere, even at some of the bar/lounge entertainment.
