Review summary

I'm a long time Carnival cruiser (almost Diamond). For the cost of the cruise, I'll have to stick with Carnival. This was 2 milestones for me and RCL,,, first and last.

KWandJK - I am not a complainer and have been RCCL fan for awhile. On FOS now, and I’m sad to say, overall it was pitiful. Customer service was at an all time low. Traveled with a Diamond Plus member and the few perks she has gotten in the past, were mostly gone on this cruise. What’s the point of cruise line loyalty anymore? Horrible experience with the Diamond Concierge as well. We have two more cruises booked with RC and hopefully they are better.

I sailed freedom last week and have to say I was not impressed. I had have a fabulous time, but me personally just prefer NCL. Just my personal opinion. Everybody feels comfortable on their cruiseine of choice, but for us, I think we will stick with NCL. Also, I don't know if freedom was an exception, but the food on Freedom really was not good. Yes I did eat my fair share, and did find some good offerings, largely it was hit or miss and not enough variety offered in buffet. Didn't offer basic grilled chicken for sandwiches or salads. Again not a deal breaker, but compared with NCL, they just didn't have enough variety.

I have been a royal fan for years but after sailing with Freedom a few weeks ago I will never sail with them again. Absolutely worst!

We prefer Royal Caribbean to carnival. Will not sail it again but everyone is different and have their own favorite

We prefer Freedom over the larger ships, just a personal preference. We did not have a great experience on Carnival Pride, beautiful ship but quite boring. We'll be on Freedom for the 3rd time in September. Have a great cruise.

I am with ya! Our first Royal was just not as we had expected , food, room service, etc. it was not horrible but Harmony was supposed to be awesome and we left ship wondering why we did it. We decided to give Royal another shot so we are gonna be on Freedom of the Seas in October. If this is same we will stay with Carnival, cheaper , better food and just a better over all experience, we sailed Magic and Breeze so all were biggest at the time of sailing, and Carnival just had it right! My Personal Opinion only
