Review summary

Can't wait to do it again. Next time, I'll try to do a little less and just savor the locations more.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Perfectly smooth. They processed many people very quickly and our suitcase got to our room at a reasonable time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Amazing food and the included drinks, like coffee, lemonade and other beverages were very nice.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I couldn't believe how much there was to do. It was like a first week in college, going from activity to activity. There was no boredom or down time... ever!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great comedians, adagio acrobats, stage shows. Every show was really enjoyable. The Rockstar Juggler, Mike Price, was a personal favorite!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They lived up to the incredible service reputation I heard before I went. Very attentive and helpful!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
RCI's Freedom of the Seas is awesome. It took four days before I'd seen all the main areas. Huge and well-designed.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very nice room. No complaints.

Ship tip

Take note that the food (Main Dining Rooms and The Windjammer) is at the back, aft, of the ship. There is a block on the lower level because of the ice rink. Learn ASAP how to get to the different areas on decks 3 & 4 and you'll save many steps and unnecessary trips through the casino.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Went straight from FLL to Port Everglades by Lyft.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
Too aggressive at port. Need better security with the monkey guys and taxi tour guys.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Lots of damage visible and traffic jams everywhere. Our excursion driver navigated it well. Glad I didn't have to.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Getting in before the stores opened was great. San Juan is beautiful before the stores open and people start to accost you to buy stuff. I really liked the fortress self-tour.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Food was great. The shopping village by the gate was a little scary and aggressive. Rocky beach was hard to swim. Didn't need all the chair guys badgering us from the ship. Once we got settled, it was great to sit and enjoy the beach views.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth! We carried our luggage off and had plenty of time to make our 10:20am flight.
