Overall was an amazing vacation and would do it again in a heartbeat. There's always some things that could improve but I won't dwell on those and just remember all the amazing memories my wife and I shared together.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We left our hotel 20 miles away at 1030 and forgot our sail passes in the hotel. Desk staff was amazing and we blew through the whole process and had drinks in hand by noon. They were awesome!!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
All the food was good, unfortunately it wasn't great. There were a few items in the MDR that were great but overall I saw 3 meals at our table go back because of being undercooked. Windjammer was nice but it was the same thing every single day, sometimes cold, sometimes undercooked.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We went to many shows and several bars, watched the florider a few times. Enjoyed the pools and hot tubs immensely
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Singers and dancers were spectacular. Some of the pool bands were not quite my style but they were decent I guess
Children's Programs

Didn't use these facilities this time but I know my younger son loved being there 10 yrs ago
Service and Staff

Staff were great but never really felt like they went above and beyond.
Ship Quality

Loved the ship and all the facilities available on board. Will go back to Freedom anytime.
Cabin / Stateroom

Panoramic ocean view right at the front of the ship above the bridge. View was spectacular, windows were floor to ceiling wall to wall literally. Was pretty quiet for the most part and just the right size for wife and I.
Avoid the 2 hr tour through town. It's a glorified taxi ride and our driver had a very dry personality. Some of the sights were great but I know there are better things to do there in this beautiful place.
Went on the golden eagle catamaran tour and loved every minute of it. Close to our best excursion ever. Snorkelling, beach time, cruising, bottomless drinks, and sandwiches. Simpson Bay is absolutely stunning.
Our little piece of heaven. Was so peaceful and beautiful at Columbus Cove in the bungalows. But also has area of high intensity fun if that's what your after.
Thanks for the review! We leave in October (sooo far away) first time on Freedom, we did sail on Harmony and that was our first RCCL cruise we was not going to sail with them again but we did hear a lot of good reviews about Freedom so we are giving Royal another try but if itβs a bust we will stay with Carnival so here is hoping!!π
Hope so. Adventure has been our favourite so far. Sad that she is moving north. We love cruising from San Juan.
Already booked on Freedom for next year, so hope she lives up to Adventure of the seas. Been reading alot of negative reviews about Freedom, but a cruise is what you make of it yourself.
