Review summary

Next year's President's cruise will be very different in the Caribbean. This was amazing in every way. If you don't care about the ports, the President's cruise is absolutely the best cruise for special extras compared to any other cruise.

all food was excellent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
pools, trivia

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were excellent. President's cruise added many extra bands and shows all were good.

Children's Programs

no children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Ronnie & danny best table service

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout is very good. We have been on the other sister ships and their amenities are newer and a little nicer, but not noticeable if you have not been on Liberty or Independence.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Beds are very firm. Balcony is great. Room is quiet.

Ship tip

Make sure you see the shows.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Make sure you stay two nights to see all Barcelona has to offer. Forget the Ho Ho bus. Buy a two day 48 hour Metro pass. You have to buy timed admission tickets for the big sites and HO Ho will never guarantee getting you where you need to be on time. Metro clean, fast, safe, within 3 or 4 blocks of every major site.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

5 out of 5
Went to Monaco by bus to see the countryside and returned by train. Both are reliable and safe.

La Spezia, Italy

5 out of 5
Hire a tour to see Florence & Pisa. The busses have to park far away from both cities and you will spend time walking to get to the sites. Small van tours drop you off at the sites.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
The port quay is very long and requires a free bus ride. Allow 15 minutes or more for this bus. Train station is a 20 minute walk or taxi ride at the end of a long day. Train is convenient and easy to ride. Don't get off at Termini, get off two exits earlier at Ostiense. Take the Metro 2 stops to Colosseum or other locations. Termini is very big and not a lot of people to give directions.

Naples, Italy

4 out of 5
Not much to see in the city, but plenty of excursions all good. Capri was very crowded the day we were in port others went there and didn't get to see much.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
President's cruise hosted a private show for all passengers included. Wondrful!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Much quicker and easier than in the US ports.

It was going to San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, and Labadee

It will be different because of the hurricane. SanJuan will be replaced most likely. St. Maarten as well. I called and they weren’t sure this far out what the substitutions would be....it will be amazing regardless. Those poor people in the islands hit are suffering. I hope things are up and running by February. Tourism is crucial to them.
