Review summary

I absolutely loved everything about this ship! From the food, to the entertainment, the port stops, everything! Fellow guests and staff were really friendly and I must say this was one of the most affordable vacations I have ever been on. However, I would have liked to possibly stay overnight in Puerto Rico or St. Kitts in exchange for a sea day. I loved how there was something for each family to do. I saw young children on guided scavenger hunts throughout the ship and teens being able to participate in dance parties, young adults drinking and dancing into the late night and the older generation having their own area to relax and people watch, listen to music or gamble (or all of the above).

Ship tip

Food in the Windjammer was to die for. Shrimp, lobster, gluten free, burgers, hot dogs, sweets, etc...anything you could possibly crave they will have. My favorite were the coconut cookies!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

As read in other reviews the sales people are intense, but don't make eye contact or engage and they will leave you alone. The ziplining shouldn't be as expensive as it is.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

1 out of 5
Not much to do in Old San Juan but walk around. There really isn't enough time to take a cab to the main city or beaches to explore over there.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5

Basseterre, St. Kitts

My favorite stop!!!! I will be coming back to explore the rest of the island and Nevis a bit more.

Good, thorough review! You tapped all age groups for inclusion. . .

I totally agree! Cruising can be as much activity or little as you want. It's great for multigeneration family vacations! We have enjoyed many types of vacations, resort stays, amusement parks, international travel exploring new and old cities, and loved every one of them, but we always come back to cruising for the convenience, cost and fun.
