Review summary

The Activities offered on the cruise were awesome.  The dining room was very slow... they seemed short staffed.  I also enjoyed  the time with my family members.

I will be going to both places in March. I, too, have done extensive research. We've decided in Costa Maya to do Maya Chan beach. It's #1 in trip advisor of things to do. 69.00, everything included, right down to snorkel equipment, glass bottom kayaks food, drinks. It's owned by cruisers who wanted to have a excursion for others that gives you more than the ship. All the reviews are awesome. They pick you up and take you back. Cozumel..back in trip advisor..#1 tour. We are renting a car and driver. You go and do what you want to do. The driver is also a guide. It's 160 for 5, hours . less for 3. I found both in trip advisor but booked both through their websites. Mainly because trip advisor is too structured.

hi fortkk. thank you for your response. how far are each of these places from the port? and if you had to choose between Costa Maya and cozumel.. where would you visit??

Oh, also at Tropicante there is free wifi and a phone in the bar area that they will let you use for free to call home if you would like!

Hi maria 1980. We will be going on our first cruise in march but I have done a lot of research on these two ports as we will be visiting them. In costa maya we will be going to the Tropicante. It is free and a beautiful beach area. You can contact Steve the owner and let him know that you are coming and he will reserve beach chairs for you at no cost. Their food is supposed to be awesome and drinks reasonably priced. People who have reviewed it have called it a hidden gem. For Cozumel we are looking at Mr Sanchos. There is a cost between 50 and 55 depending on where you book it through but it is all inclusive with food and drinks. Also very highly recommended! Good luck with your search and all I can say is hit the internet for reviews! Enjoy your cruise!
