I was on this cruise also. Although I was bummed out we had to change our ports, I still enjoyed myself. The jungle beach break we went on in Costa Maya at their "luxury" beach resort wasn't worth the money. The only reason we chose that one instead of staying close to port at the beach there was because of the open bar. Drinks were watered down and when we had 3 bus loads of people who were ready to go back to the boat they told us no we had to wait. And there were 5 buses sitting there. Cozumel was nice. I loved cococay. All in all I had a good time on the trip. I completely understand and aloud the captain and crew for making it enjoyable.

Weather happens. Not ship's fault

It's weather....the cruise line can't control this, come on!

Again it's unfortunate but it's the risk you take for sailing in hurricane season. That's why pricing is cheaper. I'm sure you do pick the destinations for St Martens. It's great if it works out but it's at best 50/50 chance at this time of year. Even if you don't hit a storm, seas are rougher. Even in the best of times you can run into bad weather but it's more likely to be at this time

Ok, to all the haters ...I was on this sailing and here's the facts. Yes, for safety we were rerouted. But of you have sailed before, you choose your cruise based on destinations as well as time availability, but there was overwhelming disappointment onboard that the ports of call had to change. (Again kudos for keeping us safe and in the sunshine). Costa Maya and Cozemel don't hold a candle to St.Thomas and St. Martens period. Hands down. Mexico ports are more costly for those trying to stay on a budget. FOS staff did a POOR job with the transition and are ill informed on the Mexican ports. This cruise had great weather during the day but 2 pool deck parties were cancelled and moved to Olive & Twist, which is a bar, thus excluding families with children from participating in the event.

Do not cruise during hurricane season. If you live in Fl--- you would know. At least you had a responsible captain.

At least it wasn't canceled! People amaze me on here! Two stars for an itinerary change! Really!!! At least the captain did not sail into the storm!

I'm always amazed at people's reaction when they are sailing in hurricane season cruise prices are cheaper because of the possible storm activity. that's not the cruise lines fault. all lines are the same. The cruise lines can pick alternate destinations. It's tough but it's in your best interest to avoid the storm when they can

Where did you go in stead

Should have checked with mother nature. She had tropical weather planned for the eastern Caribbean. Perhaps they should have her listed as a ship or destination so folks can give her 1 star ratings when the weather is bad or 5 star ratings when it's sunny.

Probably a weather issue, no need to hold RCCL responsible, certainly not 2 stars
