Review summary

We have sailed on Royal Caribbean (R.C.I.) in the past and knew they set the bar very high. We have always yearned to sail on the Freedom (but did not due to budget). We should have sailed on her sooner! We enjoyed each and every one of our R.C.I. cruises before with our kids and family and as a couple. The Freedom of the Seas did not disappoint! Every crewmember from cabin steward, waiter, maintenance technician, bar tender, pool attendant and supervisor asked how we were and if there was anything they could do for us and wished us a wonderful day (often calling us by name). The Freedom of the Seas is a well laid out ship and easy to get around. We even worked out everyday in the awesome fitness center!

It is well maintained for being ten years old. The entertainment was world class (ice show especially). The food in the main dining room (Isaac's) was delicious every night and the Windjammer never disappointed....often having a wider selection of diverse foods from around the world (scrumtious and mouth-watering). The western caribbean itinerary (Labadee, Falmouth Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel) our favorite stops were beautiful and fun. Shore excursion guides and attendants went out of their way to be courteous and attentive to each person (bamboo rafting the Martha Brae and SCUBA diving in Cozumel). Needless to say...our expectations were highly exceeded. Darn it that the Freedom is being moved to Europe. We would recommend sailing on her now before you have to fly to Spain to get on board her.👍👍👍👍👍

P.S. only complaint was Customs and Border (Port Canaveral) at the end of our cruise. Long lines (queues) waiting over an hour (appeared to be only too few inspectors for over 3000 guests).
