Review summary

Freedom of the Seas is an awesome ship with a vast array of entertainment, dining, and relaxation options.  The crew and all the employees on board are all about making your vacation a pleasant experience, so any reasonable request is satisfied.  This was my third cruise and definitely the best.  There are so many things to do but at the same time you can choose to do nothing - and enjoy every minute of it.

The upgrade to a balcony room was well worth it!!! More room in the cabin, and if you want to be by yourself with just the sun and the waves instead of with the many people on deck, you can sit out on the balcony and enjoy.

Ship tip

"My time dining" is a great, flexible option to dine in the formal dining room without being stuck with the same time and table all week. However, with 4100 people on board, you can't expect a table to be waiting for you. Figure out what you want to do early and reserve your time each day.

We did the "Airport Adventure" boat ride. Fun and cool sights. But remember that it's a small airport, so there are not 747s landing over your head every minute - in 3 hours we saw one big jet.

A balcony is always nice.  Even if you hardly use it, the view outside is much better than just a small window or porthole.
