Review summary

Freedom of the Seas is an AMAZING ship.   The staff all through out the ship were so friendly, helpful and HAPPY!!!   One could ask for anything from the staff and IT would appear.   Stateroom was EXTREMELY clean and comfortable.   Loved the entertainment EVERY night.   The food was BEYOND amazing every morning, lunch and dinner.   Without the HELP I received from Peter VONN at CheapCruise I would NEVER have been able to plan the trip on my own.   Our excursion thru CheapCruise were EXCELLENT even arriving 1 hour late on one island due to an Unexpected stop at Nassau for a medical emergency on board.   I was nervous that when we arrived 1 hr. late at port our excursion would be gone BUT they were there waiting for us.    My husband and I are ALREADY planning our next trip and Peter Vonn will be our "go to man" to plan it for us!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was VERY excellent........better than one could imagine (lobster/prime rib/rack of lamb/ etc.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Our 14 yr. old grandson almost lived on the basketball court............always several other guys there to get a game going. The rock climbing wall was a hit / classes in dancing around the pool / etc., etc.

Entertainment

Saw several GREAT shows.....ice show / magic show that was UNbelievable.

Children's Programs

Our 10 year old granddaughter LOVED her camps............we saw very little of her and would have to DRAG her out of camp (unwillingly) every night at 10 p.m. Lots of GREAT things were planned for the young kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Anne and Germaine were our dining staff and they were so helpful with suggestions and very friendly and happy. Lots of laughing with them around. The service was top notch. Joseph was our cabin man and he was so charming (and great looking too). He would get us anything that we asked for.

Ship Quality

VERY clean - staff was EXCELLENT

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was AWESOME .......... a lot of room. Having a balcony is definitely the way to go. Joseph was our cabin man and he was SO friendly and would get us whatever we needed. He was such a happy guy that he made us happy. He kept our room so clean and in wonderful shape.

Ship tip

The free pizza from the pizza shop was AMAGING....wish we had discovered this gem sooner on our trip. At Starbuck the drinks cost money BUT the goodies in the case are free.........also wished we had discovered that sooner. The "free" ice tea and lemonade was the best EVER!!

Ports of call

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Very nice beach with many things for the grandkids and adults to do. Good shopping there also. The cruise ship put on a FANTASTIC bar-bq lunch.

We did the circle island tour while the grandkids went on a pirate ship to snorkel. They LOVED the pirate ship and grandma and grandpa LOVED the circle island tour.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Again we did the Circle Island tour stopping on both sides of the islands for an hour or so. We sat in a cute little French Cafe (on the sideway of course) and had coffee and pastries. Stopped also at Orient Bay for 1-1/2 hours of beach walking and swimming. The grandkids went horseback riding on the beach for 2-1/2 hours and had a BLAST.
