Review summary

Have been on The Navigator, Mariner, Allure, and now The Freedom.  I love the Promenade.  It is always exciting.  You never feel like you are on a ship.  All the shops, cafe`s, something happening all the time.  The 70`s party was fantastic in the Promenade.  Also the parade!

The entertainment was excellent,  like a Broadway show,  The food was very good,  if I did not like something,  the waiter would bring something different.  The staff was very friendly and very polite.  I was disappointed that they did not separate a smoking side of the Casino.  Too much smoke therefore I did not spend any time there.  The only other negative was boarding and getting off the ship.  The facility for getting on was too small for that many people.  I never had that problem with smaller ships leaving Pt Canaveral.  The line was a very long snake.  Getting off, there were mixed signals which created a long line of people trying to get off the ship.  The baggage situation on the conveyor belt was also not good.  Waited too long and too crowded.

Other than that, I always love Royal Caribbean and especially this class of ships.

Thank you!! If I ever get stumped, I will try to look you up because you have way more days at sea than I do and I have right many.

We often cruise with groups of family and friends – always makes for a great time! Happy anniversary, happy graduation, and happy cruising!

Wow! Ya'll have been on 60 cruises. How wonderful. When we sail in June, it will be our 25th. We took our first one in April of 2004 to celebrate our 40th anniversary and we, too, were hooked. This time we are taking our whole family to celebrate our 50th anniversary and our grandsons' high school graduation. Needless to say, we are all counting the days. I was wondering about dress-up night so we could plan a night in the specialty dining room A cruise with ten people involves a lot of planning!!

Not aboard Freedom of the Seas, but we’ve sailed the Western Caribbean many times and always enjoy it. For the itinerary you’re going on Labadee is the standout for us; private island experience without tendering – love it!

Thank you. You are probably right. I was pretty sure about the second night but after that, I just couldn't remember. We are doing the Western route. Is that what you did?

Hi SouthernCruiser! I believe it’s generally the second night and the sixth night that are dressier, but it can depend on the itinerary and port times. Happy cruising!

I would appreciate someone who was on the Freedom recently, telling me which nights are dress up? We go in June and this would be helpful in planning the week.
