Review summary

It was great! The ship and crew were the best...only outdone by the food. We had two formal dinners a costume party on Halloween and lots of shipboard activates. The Ice Show was amazing as were the Cruise Director and his assistant.

We did the river rafting in Falmouth, Jamaica. It was a nice ride and pretty relaxing until the locals (including our raft Captain/pole/guide) started the “sales pitch”. Wanting us to purchase local merchandise, some even tossed from the river banks to the raft…at the end of the trip our guide pulled a cloth bag from under the seat and tried to sell us some his “handmade” bowls and cups. We had seen the same things for sale on shore, also some of our party purchased some of the items from the other raft captains and all were exactly the same machine made items. Having said all that, and now knowing what to expect…my wife and I would do it all again. Also one of the reasons we didn’t do more shore excursions was the fact that on the Friday before we left I injured my foot and could not walk very well. The doctors and medical staff were wonderful and on both trips to the ship hospital I was well taken care of. We were all treated like kings and queens by everyone on the ship!
