Review summary

Our Freedom of the Seas cruise was pretty much what we expected. Royal Caribbean knows how to run a ship. Compared to other ships we've sailed on, the food was better than average in presentation, variety and taste. We thought the production shows were very good but the rest of the ship's entertainment was just average and other activities not as plentiful as on other ships. The opportunity to ice skate was a huge plus which we enjoyed and took advantage of on three separate days. Pre-cruise embarkation and final disembarkation were amazingly quick and problem free, the best we have ever experienced. Staff were helpful and cheerful. Stateroom accomodations were fine and the ship was quite clean even though the decor was not as asthetically pleasing to us as on other ships.

Ship tip

The Windjammer is great for all meals especially if you are in a hurry. The ship doesn't spend a lot of time in St. Thomas so plan activities/shopping accordingly.
