Review summary
We had a wonderful time. This was our first experience with Royal Carribean, and it was very impressive. The food was amazing, the staff was all friendly, and the Freedom of the Seas was beautiful. We had an interior room that overlooked the Promenade and we were very impressed with the size and layout. We were not expecting to be wowed by an interior room, but it was very nice. Our only complaint with the entire trip was that the boat seemed a bit crowded. Our cruise was the first week in June, so maybe it was just a busy time, but there were a lot of people on board. It didn't hamper anything, we always found chairs by the pool and never waited too long for anything, it just seemed a bit crowded. We noticed the tables in the dining room were very close, sometimes it was hard to walk between the chairs if leaving dinner before another table, and the chairs around the pool area were very close together. You got to know your neighbor well, as most the chairs were taken and there was very little room between them. All in all though, it was not a big deal and I would not hesitate to go on Freedom of the Seas again. We did not have the kids with us, but there seemed to be tons for kids to do onboard, rock climbing, kids clubs, arcade, ice skating, etc. There was a good mix of people- some families, some older couples, a lot of honeymooners- so there was always someone new around to meet. Overall, it was a womderful cruise, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes to have a good time!Ship experiences
