This ship did not meet expectations. Having taken short 3-5 day cruises on other cruise lines, we were disappointed with the overall experience. We could have sailed on Carnival for 7 days for what we paid for this RCCL 5-day cruise. Expected a better experience.

Bring layers for the cold and bring some smart clothes for the great nights out. Buy the drinks package if you like a drink, it covered everything we wanted, it was paid before we left home and it was convenient.

Give all of the employee's I mentioned special recognition. As I said earlier, they made the cruise exceptional.

We miss the choice of complimentary movies on our stateroom television plus it was interesting to watch them in different languages. I'd return to that rather than having a pay-per-view.

Explorer is an OK ship, in fact we booked for Sept. 30, 2016.

The ship was nicely kept. I liked the adults only pool. Surprisingly- the food in the buffet was better than the MDR.. The Japanese restaurant should be replaced with an additional free dining venue.

If you want to get a seat at the buffet on deck 11, get there when I opens! Also less chance of getting germs from the sticky tongs.

Tip your servers. They work hard.

compare prices, including and especially those just a few weeks before voyage. Ignore their policies and bring a bottle of your favorite booze - their drinks are really expensive. Don't bring good dress clothing - you won't need it. Don't run out of routine meds- they charge $100's in profit .
